On Thursday evening at University College London I went to a talk given by Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of Apple. He was the guy that single-handedly built the Apple I, one of the first, if not the first, personal computers. The rest is history.
The purpose of the event was to promote his new book iWoz – of course I had to buy a copy while I was there but I did get him to sign it so it was worth it. He talked mostly about his childhood and the early days of Apple and why he wanted to be an engineer. It was clear from his talk and from what I have read so far in his book that engineering still remains his passion.
I recorded a short clip of his talk on my mobile phone. I’ll put the clip up later when I have more time.
Wozniak also was an employee of Atari under Tramiel Brothers, where he picked up enough smarts to make the Apple using FORTH
